The San Marcos Greenbelt works to protect the quality of life for the people of San Marcos through the creation of interconnected parks and natural areas. These areas make it possible for me to conduct my research. Please consider supporting them.
JMARS stands for Java Mission-Planning and Analysis for Remote Sensing. Put simply, it's a GIS developed by ASU's Mars Space Flight Facility and provides you with free and efficient access to more than a terabyte of NASA orbiter data. It also has basic image and vector processing features to conveniently compare, plot, and blend data.
The USGS gives monthly lectures each month in Menlo Park, CA. These public lectures are inconvenient for most but thankfully they post each lecture online for anyone to stream.
Per the NASA Spacemath website: "SpaceMath@NASA introduces students to the use of mathematics in today's scientific discoveries. Through press releases and other articles, we explore how many kinds of mathematics skills come together in exploring the universe."
